The National Theater Institute Semester at The Eugene O'Neill Center in Waterford Connecticut is geared toward undergraduate theater students who desire to be in a fast-paced, conservatory-level theatre program and to work as part of an ensemble.   This program is suitable for students wishing to hone acting skills and those interested in other aspects of theater.  The program includes either two-weeks of theater studies in London (fall semester) or two-weeks in Moscow, Russia (spring semester). Classes are held seven days a week from 9am to 10pm with a 7:30 am warm-up five days a week.

Acting, Directing, Design, Movement/Dance, Playwriting.  (Drama literature and theatre criticism course credits are not available.)


Minimum cumulative gpa of 2.8; desire to work as an ensemble in an intense, 7-day per week theater program; Skype interview required of applicants; an audition is not required.

NTI is located on a former estate on the Connecticut coast.  Students reside in a repurposed farmhouse and mansion on the property in doubles or triple rooms.


All meals are taken in the small dining hall at the Institute.
