Tips for Major Advisers
Students who wish to participate in an Off-Campus Studies (OCS) Program for credit must first receive approval from their Major Adviser for their off-campus study plans before leaving campus by completing the Whitman Off-Campus Study (OCS) Application. The OCS staff and, in some cases, the OCS Committee, review OCS Applications to approve or deny a student's request to study off campus for credit.
Preview the OCS Course Approval Form. This form should be completed by the student and their major adviser, then reviewed by the student's OCS adviser. After it has been completed, including all signatures, it should be submitted digitally via the student's Whitman OCS Application in the myOCS portal.
