2024 Reunion Weekend Schedule
Schedule for Sept. 26–29, 2024
Reunion check-in takes place in the foyer of the Reid Campus Center, 280 Boyer Ave., stop by to pick up your reunion materials:
Thursday, noon–5 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m.–10 p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
The Admission Office is open for visitors. If you brought a prospective student with you, register online. Campus tours are scheduled to depart from Penrose House, 515 Boyer Ave., at 9 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.; an information session is a part of the campus tour.
5 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
40th Reunion Reception for the Class of 1983 hosted by President Sarah Bolton at Sherwood House, 1107 Alvarado Terrace. Hearty hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks provided.
8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

9 a.m.–2 p.m.
Classroom Visits. Select classes are open for visitors. Please observe visitor limits set by faculty.
9 a.m.–5 p.m.
The Whitman College Bookstore, located on the ground level of the Reid Campus Center, 280 Boyer Ave., is open.
9 a.m.–noon
Visit the Whitman Mission National Historic Site, 328 Whitman Mission Road.
Park Ranger Kate Kunkel-Patterson ’13 welcomes alumni to tour the grounds and the Great Grave, visit the museum and view a short film about the complex relationship of the Whitmans with the Cayuse people. Kate and other rangers will provide talks throughout the morning. Carpools are encouraged.
2 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
Alumni Awards Presentation and Reception.
3:30 p.m.–5 p.m.
Kick off your reunion weekend with Whitties Helping Whitties - an excellent opportunity to meet other alumni working in your professional field. WHW events are also a wonderful way to share your experience and career trajectory with interested students. Join the conversation! Hunter Conservatory lawn. Inclement weather will move this event indoors.
7 p.m–midnight
Whittie Kids. Childcare for ages 7-14 will be active and education focused including games, crafts, and a movie. Snack provided. No walk-ins accepted.
7 p.m.-11 p.m.
All-Class Party. Join your friends and classmates as alumni take over the Reid Campus Center! Enjoy music from all the reunion classes, get your picture with friends in the photo booth or head downstairs to the Coffeehouse for quiet(er) conversation--this will be the one place you’ll be sure to meet up with your classmates. Beer, wine and mixed drinks available for purchase and light refreshments provided. Adults only. Photo ID required. Reid Campus Center, 280 Boyer Ave.
9 a.m.–5 p.m.
The Whitman College Bookstore is open. Get some new Whitman gear! Located in the basement of the Reid Campus Center.
10 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
Reunion Class Photographs on the steps of Memorial Building (front and back) as well as the front steps of Baker Center. Please note: Photos are being taken in three locations. Be sure you find the right location for your class! When you arrive for your photo, please gather in the area designated for your class. Photos will be available for free download after the reunion.

Reunion Convocation: A Celebration of Classes. The program will include the recognition of reunion classes and reunion co-chairs, recognition of Alumni Award recipients, the presentation of reunion fund class gifts and remarks by Whitman's 15th President Sarah Bolton.
12 p.m.–1:30 p.m.
All-Class Oktoberfest on the green space between Stanton Hall and Cleveland Commons.
1 p.m.
Alumni Baseball Game & Social.
2–3 p.m.
LGBTQIA+ Alumni and Student Mixer. Come share your experiences with current students and enjoy the community. Beverages and light snacks provided. Glover Alston Center.
3 p.m.
Academic Department Meetups.
3 p.m.–4 p.m.
Intercultural Center Alumni and Student Mixer. Share your experiences and heritage with students and others. Beverages and light snacks provided. Glover Alston Center.
4 p.m.
Greek Open Houses in Prentiss Sections and Fraternity Houses.
5:30 p.m.
Fifty Plus Reunion Social and Reunion Dinner. Location to be determined.
6 p.m.–midnight

6:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
Reunion Class & Cluster Celebrations. Locations to be determined.
