Whitman's sororities and fraternities offer students a close-knit community, leadership opportunities and lifelong friendships. With eight sororities and fraternities—there are plenty of ways to get involved. More than 15% of Whitman students join sororities or fraternities, forming meaningful bonds through shared lives, social events, philanthropy and campus traditions.

Whitman’s Debate team provides more than just competition—it’s a community where students sharpen their ability to think critically and engage in meaningful discussions.
With experienced coaches, a nationally ranked program and welcoming student network, you’ll develop the ability to debate respectfully, think on your feet and see the world from new perspectives.
