Dean of Students Office

This office is involved with just about every aspect of student life outside the classroom. Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Kazi Joshua is responsible for all the student affairs on campus and is truly interested in making sure you have a satisfying experience at Whitman.

Assistant Vice President of Student Life Juli Dunn is responsible for Sorority and Fraternity life, Reid Campus Center and new student orientation.

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center offers personal and psychological counseling by professionally trained counselors to all students at no charge. Counselors assist individuals and groups with personal and academic concerns, career choices, interpersonal relationships and other areas of concern or interest.

Health Center

The Health Center is located on campus and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Although the Health Center is designed primarily as an out-patient facility for the management of minor injuries and illnesses, medical care can be provided for any and all conditions which do not require hospitalization.

The Sexual Misconduct Report Network

This network (and accompanying report form) was designed to simplify the reporting process for the survivors of sexual assault or other forms of sexual misconduct. It allows for the report to be filled out by either the survivor or a third party (friend, professor, staff member), and also allows for the report to remain anonymous. The use of this form should increase the accuracy of reporting the number of incidents at Whitman.

Safety Committee

This committee is responsible for improving campus safety and disseminating information concerning campus safety. The committee is composed of representatives from the administration, the faculty, and the student body.
