Forms

Here are the New OnLine Course Request Forms for curricular/catalog changes. Remember that it is only Department/program Chairs who can submit new courses or changes to existing courses.

QUESTIONS? Contact Logan Higgins at higginsl@whitman.edu or 509-527-5980.

Chairs: to access CourseDog, go to
app.coursedog.com and log in. (A link from MyWhitman is forthcoming.)

In CourseDog, for a new course, use the "New Proposal" button.  For changes to an existing course, navigate to the existing course, and make the proposed changes there.  A pdf with more detailed instructions is forthcoming.

For faculty who are not Department/Program chairs: to make your stalwart Department/Program Chair's life easier, there are Proposal Template Google docs that you can fill out for new courses.  The first two should be self-explanatory.  The third should be used to select the learning outcomes & distribution areas for any new course that will fulfill distribution requirements.  Links are below.

Proposal Template--New Permanent Course
Proposal Template--New Special or Variable Topic Offering
Proposal Template--General Studies Course

NOTES: For a new course that will count towards distribution, you'll want to fill out both the New Permanent Course and the General Studies forms.  For each of these, you'll want to (a) make a copy of the document, (b) fill it in, then (c) select the blue "Share" icon in the top right corner and grant your Dept/Prog Chair and/or whole Dept access to your copy to get Dept/Prog approval and so the Chair can then enter the necessary info into CourseDog.
