Starting a Project
How can we help you?
The Office of Communications works collaboratively with faculty and staff across campus to address your communication needs.
Whether you need help with a new program or initiative, want to get the word out about an event, or need assistance on the web, we bring years of communications and marketing expertise to find the best solution for your problem.
Most projects begin with a kick-off meeting between our team and the project leaders. We will craft a project brief that lays out the strategic goals, audience, timelines and success metrics. We’re excited to work with you. To begin, email commprojects@whitman.edu.
Things we'll talk about include:
- What are you trying to achieve?
- Who is the audience?
- How will the work be used/distributed?
- What is the budget and budget number for this project?
- When would you like to have the project completed?
- Are there multiple components to the project? Graphic design, photography, print and more?
Project costs
There is no charge for our communications or design services. However, clients pay for printing and some incidental services, such as freelance photography or stock images. These charges are clearly identified and communicated before and during our work. We work hard to meet your needs within your budget.
