Beginning with the 2023–2024 academic year, this new concentration at Whitman College will provide a framework for students to learn and apply human-centered design principles across disciplines.

Wendy Sanger McGuire ’77 lives a life of adventure and meaning—and when she did retirement planning, she thought of her alma mater, Whitman College.

The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust has awarded herpetologist and Professor of Biology Kate Jackson the Lynwood W. Swanson Scientific Research Award for 2022.
