Refund Policy
OCS Program Refund Policy
If a Whitman OCS student withdraws from an off-campus studies program, any refund of the tuition portion of their OCS fees will be based on Whitman's standard refund schedule described in the Whitman College Catalog. The college uses the first day of classes on the off-campus studies program as day one for calculating the refund.
Any refund of the Room Fee and Meal Fee portions of their OCS fees will be based on the refund (if any) provided by the student’s specific OCS program.
OCS Program enrollment deposits are typically non-refundable.
Warning—Refunds Prior to the OCS Program’s Start Date
OCS students should pay careful attention to their specific OCS program’s refund policy. In some instances, some or all program fees may be nonrefundable prior to the program’s start date because of non-recoverable expenses, such as rent paid on behalf of the student prior to arrival.
Impact on Financial Aid
Withdrawal from an OCS program may impact a student’s financial aid since aid monies may already have been spent on OCS program fees. Financial aid recipients should contact the Whitman Office of Financial Aid Services to determine the extent of that impact.
