Your Whitman Accounts

Have you set up your Whitman accounts? If not, search your personal email for the subject line: “Welcome to Whitman College! Claim your account.”

Follow the instructions in that email to claim and activate your Whitman email address and network account. You’ll also set up a password for your account. If you ever forget it, visit Whitman College Password Recovery.

Using Whitmail

Whitman’s email system, Whitmail, is run by the Google platform. You can access your email, Google Drive and Google Apps through the Whitmail system.

To Log In:

• Go to whitmail.whitman.edu.
• Log in with the Whitman username and password you set.

Create Your Student ID

Along with claiming your account (see above), you’ll need to do these additional steps:

• Upload a photo to be used on your student ID. See photo requirements and tips.
• Make a recording of the accurate pronunciation of your name and upload it to your account.

Check for instructions in your Whitman email regarding the photo upload and name pronunciation.

Free Software

All students receive a free copy of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Starting Aug. 1, you’ll be able to go to portal.office.com and log in with your Whitman account to download your free software.
