Handshake

Handshake, our online job board, is a social-media style job and internship platform for undergraduates and young alumni. Handshake aims to democratize access to opportunity by helping every college student find the right job for them, no matter where they go to school, what they're majoring in, or who they know. Built to transform the recruiting experience, Handshake connects college students and young alumni to a comprehensive national network of employers.

Feeling like you're unsure where to begin?

Make an appointment to just check-in! On Handshake, you can find an appointment designed for the needs most commonly associated with your year; these appointments were created by looking at the bigger picture and honing in on the variety of services our Career Team can assist you with no matter how frazzled you may think you are when thinking of your Life After Whitman!

Student Career Advisors

Need career help but pressed on time and location? Problem solved! The official Student Career Advisor's drop-in hours are finalized and they are expanding their cover of campus.

The Student Career Advisors are happy to offer their services as career liaisons of the SEC. They review resumes, cover letters, assist with job applications, and connect you with helpful career services the SEC provides.

This year, Emma Saas '20 and Malia Brooks '20 have opened up their locations and added the Science Building STEM HUB and Jewett Cafe!

When are good times to meet with them? As soon as you can, during all stages of an application processes, in need of feedback on professional language, etc!

Emma and Malia will be at the Patisserie Downtown for a refreshing off-campus location and that's not all: both are available for 1-on-1 appointments! Email saasem.stu@whitman.edu or brooksmc.stu@whitman.edu to set one up!
