Women's Soccer
Corina Gabbert ’10 and Amy Hasson ’12 were voted by coaches to the All-NWC First Team. Gabbert made the All-NWC Second Team in her first year and then netted first-team honors in each of her last three seasons. Goalkeeper Courtney Porter ’10 and forward Kristin Innes ’11 were voted to the All-NWC Second Team while midfielder Liz Forbes ’10 received Honorable Mention. Porter, a team captain, finished with 25 career shutouts.
Men's Soccer
Cooper Crosby ’11, a team captain who anchored a young Whitman defense this fall, was named to the All-NWC Second Team. Forward Todd Wallenius ’10 and midfielder Conner Bottomly ’11 received Honorable Mention. Wallenius, a team captain who made the second team a year ago, led Whitman in scoring with eight goals and one assist. Bottomly, who missed much of last season because of injury, was Whitman’s second-leading scorer this fall.
Women's Volleyball
Alex Graves ’10, the only player to average more than four kills during the NWC season, was voted by coaches to the All-NWC Second Team for a second straight year. A senior captain and outside hitter, Graves was the only player in the conference to rank among the league leaders in kills, digs and service aces. In her first season, middle blocker Courtney Brewer ’13 led the NWC in hitting percentage.
Men's and Women's Tennis
Matt Solomon ’10 won his third straight singles title at the annual ITA fall tournament to advance to the Small College Championships in Mobile, Ala. Solomon, a four-time ITA All-American, won twice and dropped two close decisions at the national tournament to finish seventh.
Men's and Women's Golf
Golfers Brian Barton ’11 and Taylor Head ’13 won medalist honors for shooting the lowest individual scores at two fall tournaments. Barton won the men’s NWC Northern Colleges Tournament while Head shared medalist honors with a Whitworth player at the women’s tourney.
