Senior Assessment
| Senior Assessment Format | Required | Details |

| Senior Project | Yes | Enroll in CS 495 in the Fall of your Senior year and CS 496 in the Spring of your Senior year. |
| Public Presentation | Yes | Teams are expected to present their senior projects at the Whitman Undergraduate Research Conference. |
| Written Thesis | No | Candidates for honors in Computer Science may optionally write a thesis as part of individual project work undertaken in CS 498 during Spring semester of the Senior year. |
| Oral Exam | Yes | The oral exam (typically one hour in length) is given just before Spring break. The exam takes the form of question and answer; no formal presentation is required. The date, time, and the interviewers will be announced by the department chair. |
| Written Exam(s) | Yes | The Computer Science Major Field Test is typically administered on the first Saturday of the Spring semester. |
