Human-Centered Design Program Gets Boost From Major Grant Funding
The National Endowment for the Humanities has awarded Whitman College nearly $150,000 to develop new curricula for the Human-Centered Design concentration. The NEH grant will provide two years of support for faculty to design, refine, enhance and implement the core components of the program.

Whitman Juniors Awarded Prestigious Goldwater Scholarships
Kaleo Toguchi-Tani ’25 and Eliza Daigle ’25 are the 14th and 15th Whitties to be awarded the Goldwater Scholarship since 1992. They will continue their research in the areas of astrophyics and epidemiology, respectively. The Goldwater Scholarship supports college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue careers in the natural sciences, math and engineering.
