Virtual Pig Dissection

Fetal pig specimen prepared for dissection

Welcome to the Whitman College Biology Department’s Virtual Pig Dissection (VPD).

This site supplements laboratory dissections used to explore introductory mammalian anatomy and physiology. It is designed to be basic—many details have been omitted for clarity. It is suitable for AP Biology students or students of introductory anatomy and physiology at the college level.

We have revised this site to improve the learning experience and accessibility. See the About page for details and contact information.

To get started, select a chapter below or begin with Anatomical References.
