The Whitman African Student Association (WASA) is pleased to invite the Whitman Community to a series of events celebrating culture from the African continent, leading to the annual Taste of Africa event next week.

This week, music and dance group Gansango will be on campus for two days of performances, classes and workshops. Gansango is directed by Etienne Cakpo, originally from Benin, now a Seattle-based choreographer and teacher. These events are co-hosted by the Department of Theater and Dance and WASA. Additional support is provided from the Ashton J. and Virginia Graham O'Donnell Endowment in Global Studies.
