Adam West ’51, TV’s Batman, died Friday
Adam West (William West Anderson '51) died Friday night in Los Angeles, according to multiple news reports. West was born in Walla Walla and was a literature major and psychology minor at Whitman. He was most famous for his iconic role in the 1960s television version of Batman.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, West, 88, had recently battled with leukemia. He is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
