Where in the World Have You Met a Whittie?
Caitlin Schoenfelder '09 (in green shirt) is on a Princeton in Latin America yearlong fellowship working with a rural teacher-training program in Mexico. "Richard Elmore '66, professor in Harvard's Graduate School of Education (at right), came down to learn more about the program and give a multiday conference. During his visit I served in part as his interpreter, and we reminisced about our Whitman days (although our experiences are separated by a few decades!). The photo was taken while observing and working with rural middle school students in the community of Santa Rosa in Zacatecas, Mexico."
