More than 1,530 Donors Go ALL IN for Whitman
The $530K raised will have a powerful impact for students across programs and campus
Over two spirited days, Oct. 25–26, 2023, 1,534 alumni, faculty, staff, families and friends supported the college through ALL IN for Whitman.
The collective effort raised more than $532,500 for The Whitman Fund—including scholarships and college’s greatest needs, and direct support for the W Club, athletics and a broad variety of student-focused programs.
Stepping Up & Giving Back
Alumni and family volunteers were key to the success of ALL IN for Whitman. Members of the President’s Advisory Board and of the W Club Board of Directors were especially active in mobilizing broad support for students.
“It was fun to participate in ALL IN for Whitman and double the impact of my gift as a matching challenge to inspire my classmates to participate. Thanks to the Class of 2001 for stepping up and being ‘ALL IN’ with me!”
—Kirsten Gable ’01, Chair of the President’s Advisory Board
Alumni and friends gave nearly $230,000 in unrestricted support through The Whitman Fund, providing flexibility and financial strength to meet the greatest needs of the college, while also delivering $58,000 in immediate support for scholarships and aid.
Donors delivered a big impact for athletics, including $120,000 in support of our student-athletes and coaches. These W Club gifts boost our teams and provide general funds to support out-of-conference and tournament travel.
“On behalf of the W Club, a huge thank you to all those who donated to support our athletics programs during ALL IN. We are grateful for your generosity that means so much to our student-athletes and our coaches as we continue to strive for excellence. GO BLUES!”
—Casey Mickelson ’75, President of the W Club Board
We’re Going Upward Together
ALL IN for Whitman gifts are part of the Upward Together campaign. Collective gifts of all sizes— and the volunteer efforts making them possible—are deeply appreciated by the college.
