Q: Does my health insurance cover me out of state or country?
- A: Yes, it does. To find an in-network provider log in to premera.com or use the Premera mobile app. Select Find a Doctor tab to search for a doctor, dentist, specialist or pharmacy. You can also call the 1-800 number on the back of you card and customer service can help you find a physician. Another option would be to use doctorondemand.com/premera or 98point6.com/premera.
Q: What do I do if I have an accident at work?
- A: You will want to contact Nikki Young, Environmental Healthy & Safety Coordinator, in the Safety Department. She will be able to assist you with any worker's compensation claims. Nikki can be reached at 509-527-5946 or youngnj@whitman.edu.
Q: What do I do when I get married?
- You might want to change your tax withholdings, so you will want to submit a new W4 to the Human Resource Office.
- You will want to update your life insurance including the beneficiaries.
- You have 60 days to add your spouse to your benefits if you would like.
- If you spouse does not already have a spouse Whitman ID card you can request one for use of the gyms and library.
- You can increase or decrease your Flexible Spending Plan if needed.

Q: When will I loose my email access after I leave the College?
- Faculty members will lose access after 6 months from leaving the college.
- Staff members will lose access immediately.
- Retired staff and faculty can elect to keep their email active.
