Resources for COWS Staff
Beginning Work as A COW: Important Info.
First of all congratulations on beginning your tutoring journey! This section will walk you through the logistics of your shift as a COWS tutor.
Before the semester - You'll begin by selecting the dates and times you would like your appointments to be at an all staff orientation. You will receive a quick training on how to use the staff website, what client report forms look like, and more. You can also begin planning the event you and a partner will host for the semester!
During the semester - Attending bi-weekly staff meetings is very important as we will be discussing our goals, plans, and events for the semester and continuing training as tutors! It is also important that once you've chosen your weekly hours it is important you show up at COWS incase anyone is looking for a drop-in appointment (Unless you've selected a shift at another location, then go there!). After the completion of a tutoring appointment you will have the opportunity to fill out a client report form, which must be completed so that we can better understand the needs of our staffs and clients.
During finals week - Our hours will change! You will have the opportunity to adjust your hours based on your finals schedule.
Any questions or concerns regarding this information should be brought to the attention of Lydia or a COW-Ordinator student intern!
