You might be thinking, “But Zoe, why are you writing your third ‘Year in Review’ post in the middle of the fall semester of your fourth year at Whitman?”
Feeling Like I Belong While Half Way Across the World
Nervous. Overwhelmed. Confused. Those are just a few of the emotions I felt as I prepared to move to college. I worried that once I got to Whitman, I would be standing by myself in the corner. I feared I would have to figure things out on my own. Spoiler alert: I did not!

The start of my college career was filled with a lot of uncertainty about what I wanted to do after college. So I reached out to Whitman's Career and Community Engagement Center even before arriving on campus. The support I received was invaluable, and I want to share how it can help guide your career path as well.
I chose Whitman because I wanted to be somewhere that felt like home. The campus culture and professors I met on my tour were so wonderful, and I've met amazing people with the same interests as me.”

I started rock climbing at the start of my first year and now I climb outdoors and teach kids how to rock climb with Friends Rock. Outside of rock climbing, I love dancing and have gotten to try a bunch of different forms too! Through a Hip Hop class at Whitman, I recently learned how to breakdance.”
