From the Organ to the Record: Changes in Music Technology

Lucy Palmersheim '06 and Sarah Ferguson '06 worked together with the rest of the Maxey Museum staff to create this visually appealing, interactive musical exploration. This exhibit will counter those slightly disturbing questions kids ask like “what's a record player” or “I thought vinyl was only used to make couches.” It also presents fun facts and nostalgic memorabilia for those who remember buying the newest 45” by the Beatles and to those who heard most of their music singing hymns on Sunday morning.
