Stephanie Coontz is a professor of history and family studies at the Evergreen State College in Olympia. She also serves as Co-Chair and Director of Research and Public Education with the Council on Contemporary Families, a non-profit organization of family researchers and practitioners based at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Her work has been featured in newspapers such as The New York Times, as well as scholarly journals like the Journal of Marriage and Family. She is frequently interviewed on national television and radio.
