Fulbright program selects anthropology professor as distinguished chair
The Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program announced this spring the selection of Suzanne Morrissey, assistant professor of anthropology, as the visiting research chair in environment, health and sustainability at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, for fall semester 2010.

So it’s not for fame or recognition that students restore streams; craft clever ways to compost dining hall waste; replace thousands of energy-wasting light bulbs; raise funds to install rooftop solar panels; or live, learn and recycle campus cast-offs at an interest residence called “The Outhouse.”
George Ball Chair
A faculty chair to honor Dr. Ball? What could be more fitting? More than 450 alumni, staff, faculty and friends of the college rallied to the challenge, contributing $1.7 million to create the George Hudson Ball Chair in the Humanities.

Two students earn Watson fellowships
