Ivar Highberg ’32, former Whitman math and physics professor, died June 4, 2009, at age 97. Whitman also remembers Frank Shoemaker ’43, a particle physicist and honorary doctorate, and Jo Anne Rasmussen, former acting and speech professor and well-known actress on the Harper Joy Theatre and Walla Walla community stages.
