Audrey Marthin ’26: Club Leader & Software Engineer
Audrey Marthin ’26 is a Computer Science major from Jakarta, Indonesia. Audrey spent the last four years at Whitman College building the skills and experience to launch her career in software engineering. After graduation, she’ll head to Seattle to work as a Software Engineer at Microsoft.
Audrey’s Whitman Highlights:
- Founding lead of the Google Developer Groups student club
- Studied abroad in London
- Student Intern in the Admission Office
Audrey helped grow Whitman’s tech community as a founder of the Google Developer Groups student club, creating a space for professional growth for students interested in technology and software development.
For her Computer Science capstone project, Audrey worked with Whitman’s Robotic Chemistry Lab to develop an outlier detection system and a Gaussian process regression tool. She also completed an honors thesis analyzing VPN performance.
Audrey gained industry experience through two summer internships with Microsoft. These opportunities allowed her to work alongside professionals, strengthen her technical skills and gain insight into what a career in software engineering would look like.
What’s next? Audrey is headed to Seattle to begin her career as a Software Engineer at Microsoft. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue exploring fields like cloud computing and bioinformatics through both industry experience and graduate studies.
