Rebecca Johnston ’22 was selected by U.S. Ski and Snowboard as one of 14 athletes to represent the U.S. Para Snowboard Team at the 2025 FIS Para Snowboard World Cup, where she finished in the top eight. Johnston was diagnosed with osteosarcoma during her first year at Whitman College and chose to amputate her leg in 2020. She started training with Team Utah Snowboarding in 2021 and joined the U.S. team during the 2023 World Cup season.
