Health Services

Health Services at the Welty Health and Counseling Center are available Monday–Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when classes are in session. Medical providers are available daily by appointment to examine ill or injured students and provide consultations or physical exams.

Services available include:

• Physician availability for examination of ill students, physical exams or consultation
• Prescriptions assistance from local pharmacy
• Medication assessment and management for mental health diagnosis
• In-house lab testing for strep, mono, urinalysis and pregnancy
• Assistance in outside referrals and insurance questions
• Vaccines and travel health
• Sexual health exams
  • Pap exams
  • PrEP

Nursing visits may include:

• Medication administration
• Point of Care testing
• Vaccine administration
• STI testing
• Ear lavage
• Plan B

We do not provide:

• Imaging
• Emotional support animal evaluation
• Diagnosis or medical management of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
• Assessment of autism
• Management of chronic conditions

The Welty Health and Counseling Center does not have dental, vision, massage or chiropractic services on site, but can provide referrals to outside resources.
