Mental Health Counselor

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in Washington state and National Certified Counselor (NCC). After completing my undergraduate degree in Music, I returned to study Clinical Mental Health Counseling at University of the Cumberlands.

I am passionate about working with individuals of diverse backgrounds with intersecting identities. I am a second-generation immigrant and multiracial individual, and am committed to cultural sensitivity and lifelong learning when working with people. My experience in counseling emphasizes supporting people as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma and self-esteem related concerns as well as issues of identity.

The base of my theoretical orientation is Rogerian Person-Centered therapy. I believe you are the expert on your own experience. I fold in techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to try to support the unique person. I lean heavily into mindfulness, radical acceptance and thought work to change the ways we think and respond to ourselves, moving further towards self-compassion.
