About Us
The mission of Welty Health and Counseling Center is to create an inclusive, welcoming and caring environment where all students will thrive and flourish, and to meet every student with respect and dignity, accepting individuals’ unique situations and concerns.
The Welty Health and Counseling Center staff recognizes and acknowledges the fundamental failing of health care services to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and all marginalized, vulnerable populations. Our staff works one-on-one with all students to identify physical and emotional needs, to provide a safe and compassionate environment, and to educate students regarding college and community resources.
At Welty Health and Counseling Center, we view ourselves as professionals and perennial learners. Diversity, equity and Inclusion are a journey and we are committed to creating a space where all people are welcome and care is given with cultural humility and sensitivity.
