Ikolo Griffin
Kelly Slough has been living, dancing and teaching dance in NYC for the last 30 years. Currently on faculty at Mark Morris Dance Center and Gibney Dance Center, she has also taught at George Mason University, Rutgers, Hunter College, Purchase College and the Eugene Lang College at the New School as well as company classes for The Lucinda Childs Dance Company and Ballet Prejlocaj. Kelly was a principal dancer with The Lar Lubovitch Dance Company for seven years. During her tenure with the company she assisted Mr. Lubovitch in setting his work on American Ballet Theater, taught residencies, repertory classes and master classes in the United States and abroad. She was also an original cast member in the Opera Nixon in China choreographed by Mark Morris and danced in the opera Aida choreographed by Richard Caceres both produced by the Houston Grand Opera and broadcast on PBS Great Performances. She has also been a member in the companies of Lucinda Childs, Robert Kovich, Sungsoo Ahn , The State of Alabama Ballet and The Washington Ballet, where she received the majority of her training. She is excited to be a part of the Summer Dance Lab and share her passion of dance with the students.
