Urban Teachers Residency United – A network to prepare teachers working in urban public schools by providing them with a residency and specific skills for the classroom.

WorldTeach - WorldTeach provides opportunities for volunteers to teach in developing countries, making a meaningful contribution to schools and communities that are in great need of teachers.  Most volunteers teach English, and students range in age depending on the placement.  In some countries, volunteers may also teach math, science, computer skills, or HIV/AIDS awareness.

American Zoo and Aquarium Association - Those interested in working with animals can search for a variety of job and internship openings in zoos, amusement parks, aquariums, museums, etc. around the world.

Earthworks - Earthworks allows you to post a resume or browse job listings in oil, energy, mining, geoscience, seismology, earth science, environmental science, engineering, remediation, agriculture, forestry, ecology, meteorology, atmospheric science, oceanography, marine science, and a number of other related subjects.

Human Rights Campaign Foundations - As the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, the Human Rights Campaign is dedicated to ending discrimination, securing equal rights and protecting the health and safety of LGBT Americans. The HRC offers a wide-range of job opportunities as well as a multidisciplinary internship program.

Out for Work - Out for Work functions as a complimentary component in the total educational experience of LGBT students, primarily in the development, evaluation, initiation and implementation of career plans and opportunities. National Institute of Health - The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research. As well as searching for jobs with NIH, this site can provide you with job descriptions, a glossary, federal resume tips, and guides about the application process.

Public Health Employment Connection - PHEC is a FREE job posting, resume posting, and job search site that has been created for the express purpose of centralizing public health career information for public health professionals and employers.  

World Health Organization - WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. Search and apply for WHO jobs and internships through this easy-to-navigate site.

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) - The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a nationwide, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the principles of liberty and equality embodied in the U.S. Constitution. Our undergraduate internship program is designed to expose interns to legal aspects of public interest work.

Center on Juvenile & Criminal Justice - Learn about internship opportunities at CJCJ's San Francisco office. Dependent on the agency's particular needs at the time, interns can provide research assistance on various projects and assist with the production of reports and releases to promote needed reforms in criminal justice policy.

Earth Justice - This site lists job opportunities at Earth Justice, including internships, externships, and clerkships. The database can be searched by regional office or by job type.

Supreme Court - The Supreme Court’s Judicial Internship Program offers undergraduates and graduating seniors who have interests in law, management, and social sciences a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the field of judicial administration through work in the Office of the Counselor to the Chief Justice.

National Science Foundation - The National Science Foundation (NSF) is an independent federal agency created by Congress in 1950 "to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare; to secure the national defense…"  Those interested in working with the NSF can browse job openings and career information under the Career Opportunities section.

Research Experience for Undergraduates National Science Foundation Summer Internships. The National Science Foundation has an Internet posting that lists all the NSF-supported undergraduate research sites for the summer. These projects and sites provide great opportunities for summer research, especially in large, research-oriented universities. Request information from any of the sites that interest you.
