IES: European Union

The IES European Union program is based in Freiburg, Germany. Students will participate in three field study trips with a focus on the European Union to places such as Berlin, Prague, Brussels, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Paris, Strasbourg, and others. These course-related excursions total approximately 22 days.  Participants also will take part in Model EU simulations and spring semester students will have the opportunity to intern after the program in either Freiburg or Brussels.

“Although I am a BBMB major, I was able to take classes in international politics, finance, and German, which provided me with a well-rounded and comprehensive educational experience. I was able to travel to Berlin, Prague, Paris, Luxembourg, Brussels, Athens, Budapest, and Bucharest as a part of this program and was given the invaluable opportunity to meet a wide range of prominent politicians, economists, and academics.” - Daniel C.
