The IES European Union program is based in Freiburg, Germany. Students will participate in three field study trips with a focus on the European Union to places such as Berlin, Prague, Brussels, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Paris, Strasbourg, and others. These course-related excursions total approximately 22 days.  Participants also will take part in Model EU simulations and spring semester students will have the opportunity to intern after the program in either Freiburg or Brussels.

“A+++ program. I learned more than I ever could have imagined about the EU in such a short period of time. I saw most of Europe during the three course-related excursions which were included free with the program tuition. Professors were amazing and easy to get to know inside and out of class. Course-related excursions allowed students to experience Europe culturally, socially, and academically, including many meetings with engaging speakers. Living situations were great all around. Freiburg is a medium sized city that is nice to have as a home city with so much travel included in the program. It always felt nice to return ‘home’ after a trip.” - Hunter S. ‘17
