AIT provides computer science students a curriculum that combines foundational computing courses with innovative courses in entrepreneurship, design, and special topics.

Fields of Study:

Computer Science and Hungarian


Students must have completed at least one course that involves programming (in any modern language), a course on data structures (CS 270), and a college mathematics course beyond calculus (e.g. linear algebra, discrete mathematics, etc.). Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

16 credits per semester - Required Courses:
Hungarian Language Semester course, Whitman requirement (4 credits)
Three additional AIT courses (4 credits each)
Strongly Recommended
Pre-semester Hungarian Language course

Credit Conversion:

1 AIT credit = 1 Whitman credit

Furnished apartments with other AIT students


Students purchase or prepare meals themselves.


Spring semester AIT students may be able to participate in non-credit bearing summer internships at Hungarian software companies. Internships are arranged by the student (not by AIT) and are not guaranteed.
