After seven months of diligent data collection, Whitman College has earned a STARS Silver rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). Faculty-Led Summer Chinese Language Studies Resumes with Inaugural Program in Taiwan
Eleven Whitties dedicated to the study of Mandarin Chinese boarded a plane in May to study for six weeks in Taiwan led by Whitman faculty members Xiaobo Yuan (Anthropology) and Wencui Zhao (Asian & Middle East Studies). This inaugural Whitman program in Taiwan is the first Whitman faculty-led academic trip offered by Off-Campus Studies since the end of the pandemic.
