Barbara Sommer Feigin ’59, her husband, James, and their three sons
George Osborne '66
Overseer George R. Osborne, Jr. ’66 and Overseer Emerita Barbara Sommer Feigin ’59 and James Feigin were inducted into the Stephen B.L. Penrose Society during the fall Board of Trustees and committee meetings. President George Bridges and Penrose Society Co-chair Elizabeth Main Welty, trustee emerita, presented the awards on behalf of the college and Co-chair Robert “Bob” Young ’55, overseer emeritus.
The Penrose Society recognizes those who have given cumulative gifts of $1 million or more. Their leadership and commitment have helped to transform the college from a small and committed college of Western renown to a top-tier liberal arts institution of national prominence.
A recent gift from Osborne helped make possible the Baker Center renovations. Sommer Feigin and her husband, James, established the Barbara Sommer Feigin Distinguished Student Scholarship Endowment and the Barbara Sommer Feigin Internship Endowment.
