Archivist emeritus seeks recollections about archives
Circa 1899 to the present, Whitman College has been collecting archival materials. Throughout the years many people — students, faculty, staff, alumni, contributors, financial supporters, researchers and others — have been involved in helping establish an archives program and appropriate facilities.
Michael Paulus, archivist and special collections librarian, and Lawrence Dodd, archivist emeritus, are asking those who were involved in any way to write down their recollections ("good, bad or indifferent") and send them to the attention of Paulus at Penrose Library, 345 Boyer Ave., Walla Walla, WA 99362. For more information, phone (509) 527-5922 or e-mail archives@whitman.edu.
"Please join us in this project by sending your recollections via e-mail, typed letter or typed document. If you have photographs consider sending copies," Dodd said.
