What's so great about the liberal arts? Ask a liberal arts graduate
According to graduates questioned in a recent survey, the kind of college education you get matters a lot. Liberal arts graduates report getting something very different, and in a number of ways, better – and certainly as relevant and valuable – than graduates of other types of institutions.
A report titled “The Value and Impact of the College Experience: A Comparative Study” reveals the results of a survey commissioned by the Annapolis Group, a consortium of liberal arts colleges, and conducted by Hardwick Day. This survey of graduates gauges how alumni with degrees from liberal arts and sciences colleges experienced and benefited from their college journeys.
