W Club Sets 'Tailgate' for Saturday BB Tilts
WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Alumni, friends and supporters of Whitman College are invited to take advantage of "Tailgate Party" activities scheduled for today (Saturday) as part of Missionary basketball games at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash.
The W Club, a booster group for Whitman athletic teams, will host the activities during the Whitman-Puget Sound men's and women's games. The event is open to all Whitman alumni, supporters of the college, and families and friends of Missionary players.
The men's game starts today at 4 p.m. with the women's game to follow at 6 p.m.
The Missionary Tailgate activities will take place just off the Puget Sound basketball floor, in Room 117 (A & B). Whitman fans are encouraged to gather in that room at halftime of both games and during the break between the two games. Pizza and beverages will be served.
Jim Moore, Whitman Class of 1966 and president of the W Club, will talk about the booster club's activities during the break between the two games.
Michelle Ferenz, coach of the women's team, will speak to the group at halftime of the men's game. Eric Bridgeland, coach of the men's squad, will do the same at halftime of the women's game.
