WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Whitman College women's basketball team tunes up for the start of Northwest Conference play when it hosts British Columbia's Trinity Western University in an exhibition game at 7:30 p.m. tonight on George Ball Court in Sherwood Center.

Whitman, 5-4 on the season despite a rash of injuries, hasn't played since Dec. 18.

Trinity Western, 3-9 on the season, is coming off a much longer break. The Spartans last played on Nov. 28.

Tonight's exhibition game does not count as part of Whitman's season record. 

Whitman kicks off its Northwest Conference season this weekend on the road. The Missionaries play Saturday at Lewis & Clark in Portland, Ore., and Sunday at Willamette University in Salem. Both games start at 1 p.m.
