WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Whitman College women's volleyball team will have its hands full when NAIA powerhouse Lewis-Clark State rolls into town Tuesday for a non-conference match at 6 p.m. in Sherwood Center.
The Warriors, 16-7 on the season, are 8-3 in the Frontier Conference, just a half-game out of first place.
Lewis-Clark State, ranked No. 21 nationally in the latest NAIA poll, handed Whitman a three-game loss (25-19, 25-16, 25-20) earlier this season in Lewiston, Idaho.

After Tuesday night, Whitman plays its next three Northwest Conference matches on the road.
The Missionaries then conclude their season at home on Saturday, Nov. 7, against Pacific.
Alex Graves, one of Whitman's captains, continues to power the Missionaries as her senior season hits the stretch run.
In NWC matches only this fall, Graves leads the conference in kills, averaging 4.0 per game. In season-long stats, she is No. 2 in kills (3.53 kpg) and No. 4 in both digs (3.99 dpg) and service aces (0.34 aces per game).
With 29 service aces in 70 games this season, sophomore Katie Miller is No. 2 in the conference in that statistical category.
Junior Katie Richards is fourth in assists, averaging 8.91 per game for the season and 9.66 per game in NWC matches.
Courtney Brewer, a first-year middle blocker, is hitting .265 on the season, which ranks her sixth in the conference.
Olivia Nielson, another first-year middle blocker, leads the Missionaries in total blocks with 44. Brewer has 41, including a team-high nine solo blocks.
Carrie Cecil, a first-year right-side hitter, has 29 blocks.
