WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Eight Whitman College seniors, three men and five women, will be honored Saturday afternoon prior to the start of their Northwest Conference games against Puget Sound at the Whitman Athletic Fields.

The women's game starts at noon with the men's game to follow at about 2:30 p.m.

Brief ceremonies for seniors Courtney Porter, Corina Gabbert, Liz Forbes, DeeDee McCormick and Kendall Shibuya, along with their families, will take place about 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the women's game.

Ceremonies for seniors Todd Wallenius, Jasper Lipton and Jerreh Badjie will precede the men's game.

Both Whitman teams have two more games slated for Sunday, when Pacific Lutheran rolls into town. Start times are noon for the women and 2:30 p.m. for the men.

After this weekend, the Missionary squads play most of their remaining games on the road.

The last home game for the Whitman men is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, against a non-conference opponent, the University of Great Falls.

The Whitman women wrap up their season at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at home against Lewis & Clark.
