WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Cooper Crosby, a junior defender, tops a list of three Whitman College players voted to the All-Northwest Conference men's soccer team.
Crosby, who anchored a young Missionary defensive backline, was voted to the All-NWC Second Team. He earned Honorable Mention recognition last season as a sophomore.

This year's all-conference teams, announced today, include two more Missionary players.
Todd Wallenius, a senior forward, and Conner Bottomly, a junior midfielder, received Honorable Mention recognition.
Crosby, a team captain and graduate of Vashon Island (Wash.) High School, was the lone returning starter this season on Whitman's back row of defense.
At 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, Crosby gives the Missionary defense a quick, strong and aggressive presence. He started 36 games over the past two seasons, after serving as a part-time starter as a freshman.

Wallenius, also a team captain, led the Missionaries in scoring this season with eight goals and one assist.
Only three players in the conference booted more goals than Wallenius this fall. Pacific Lutheran's Chad Kearns led the NWC with 11 goals, and two other players had nine apiece.
Wallenius, a graduate of San Dieguito High School Academy in Encinitas, Calif., led the conference in shots, averaging 3.11 per game.
A year ago, when he was voted to the All-NWC Second Team, Wallenius was Whitman's second-leading scorer with six goals and three assists. He finished his three seasons as a Missionary with 17 goals and five assists.
Bottomly, who missed most of last season due to injury, rebounded to start 18 of 19 games this season. He was Whitman's second-leading scorer with three goals and two assists.
Bottomly, a graduate of Colorado Rocky Mountain School in Carbondale, Colo., averaged 2.05 shots per game and ranked eighth in the NWC in total shots with 39.
