Backing Up netFiles -- Using the Web Interface (recommended)
This document describes how to download all of your files from netFiles and save them on your computer so you can access them if you can no longer have access to netFiles.
Launch a standard web browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.) and login to the netFiles web interface using your Whitman email username and password.
Once you are logged into netFiles, you should see the standard view listing all of your files and folders. Go ahead and clean up your netFiles space by deleting any files or folders that you don't want to backup and download to your computer. You can delete files or folders by clicking the checkbox to the left of the file name and then clicking on the delete button (a red X located near the top of the window).

Downloading All Files from netFiles to Your Computer
- Click on the checkbox next to the "Name" heading directly above the list of the files. This will select all of the files and folders in your netFiles account.
- Next, right-click on the area anywhere inside the netFiles window and select Save to Zip File.
- The files will be downloaded to your computer's default download location in a Zip file.
- Find the Zip file on your computer and double click on it. This will uncompress the file, giving you a folder with all of your files in their normal format.
You can now either keep these files on your computer or you can transfer them to a flash drive, burn them onto a CD, or use a different backup method to make sure your Whitman files will be accessible to you in the future.
