NIST Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship at Boulder
Application period: December 2021 to February 2022 (8:59 p.m. PT) [TBA] or when application capacity of 350 is met; the application may close ahead of the deadline
Eligibility requirements:
- U.S. citizen and/or permanent resident
- Undergraduate at U.S. university or college with technical major
- Health insurance through school or family
- 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Physics, materials science, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, or engineering majors are encouraged to apply. (There may be research opportunities for students with other majors)
- Applicants must be enrolled as undergraduates as of the application deadline date
Award summary and conditions: Boulder, Colorado, Laboratories' National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program provides research experience for students majoring in science, mathematics, and engineering. Opportunities are available in the fields of:
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Information Technology
- Materials Science
- Physics
Benefits include an allowance for travel and housing as well as a stipend.
