Whitman is excited to host its first Campus NEW Leadership™ institute, March 2, 2019 from 8 a.m. 5:30 p.m at the Reid Campus Center.

The NEW Leadership™ institute is a non-partisan program for students, designed to encourage greater political interest and engagement from college women. During the institute, students will meet women leaders, learn about women in American politics, and develop and practice leadership skills through panel discussions, workshops, and hands-on projects. Participants will walk away with a plan of action – a single action, or set of actions, that they will carry out over the next few months in order to affect an issue that they care about.

NEW Leadership™ is supported by a grant from The Women’s Funding Alliance that covers all program costs, so this event is FREE to all participants. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on the day of the event - please plan to join us!

For more information, please contact Leann Adams (adamsle@whitman.edu) or Maggi Banderas (banderm@whitman.edu).
