The Media Specialist is an excellent position for gaining valuable job experience and is a wonderful resume builder. This student will ideally be familiar with the OP  but all interested students are encouraged to apply since media skills rather than outdoor skills are what will enable candidates to  rank higher.  The position is highly self-directed but meets weekly with an OP staff member. The schedule is fairly flexible.  This individual should expect to work roughly 4-5hrs/wk during the school year but opportunities for more hours exist if interested. The media specialist is in charge of advertising for Outdoor Program events. This includes poster-making and distribution, web updates, Facebook posting, window painting, and anything to further advertise events. The Media Specialist is also in charge improving and keeping current the Outdoor Program website. Other tasks may be assigned.

• Maintain OP website
• Create & distribute advertisements for OP events
• Weekly meeting with OP staff member
• Respond to emails and communications in timely fashion

• Website management skill (Ingeniux)
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign desired
• Organized
