Welcome to Whitman College!

Adjusting to a college out of your home country can be a monumental task. Whitman College provides a special orientation program for our international students to help smooth your adjustment between home and college.

Due to Whitman College moving to primarily remote teaching for Fall 2020, the majority of orientation programming for new international students will be delivered remotely. Remote orientation for intentional students will be held Aug. 17-19, 2020.

International students and their families can also access the virtual orientation programming, which will be live the first week of August. Watch your Whitman email for more information. Additional virtual opening week activities will be held at multiple times and dates beginning Aug. 20, 2020.

International Student Orientation is mandatory and is free of charge. Attendance is required for incoming international students and international transfers. U.S. students who have lived abroad are encouraged to attend. International Student Orientation is sponsored by International Student and Scholar Services and includes a team of returning international and U.S. students who are here to help you get settled.

If you have questions about traveling to Walla Walla or your orientation experience, contact Greg Lecki at leckige@whitman.edu or 509-527-5005.
